Walking for a Cure!!!

The kids and I were fortunate enough to participate in this...
It was so touching to be able to apart in something so great. It was a great experience and I plan to do it every year!! I challenge everyone who is reading this and that lives in Texas to come and participate next year, and in every event that is put on to raise money to find a cure for this dreadful disease. If you don't live in Texas and cant participate send a money donation. I know you all feel hesitant to donate to things like this, I always have too. But now that it hits home with us, I will always do whatever I can to donate and participate in these things. Even if you are poor like me, donate $1 or $5. Every little bit helps. it really does!!! I hope that none of you ever have to experience what my family has experienced, it is definitely life changing. We love our Lukas and will fight for this cure for the rest of our lives.
Here are just a few of the pictures of the people who came and joined in the walk. One really touching thing, Heather got to meet an 18 year survivor of Neuroblastoma. That was so amazing to see her and to see that it is possible to make it and to have a somewhat normal life!

Utah Trip

Doug and I and his brothers and Melissa all went to Utah this weekend. We had a lot of fun! We went to see Doug's grandpa Jack, he has been sick and in the hospital, and they haven't seen him in a few years. It was really sad to see him so sick and small, but it was really good to see him, and the family that we did get to see. A huge thank you to Jamie and Chris and their family for letting us stay at their house! It was so nice, and it saved us a lot of money! It was good to see everyone. We really missed having Sarah there. She would have just added to our fun!! Maybe next time!
This was at the airport, our flight was cancelled and moved to another time, which kept getting changed also. So we had to sit in the airport for like 5 hours. Clara was so good! On Saturday we went up to Salt Lake and went to the Temple. That was my first time to do a live session. It was so neat. I'm really glad we got to do it. I'm so glad we got to see James and Dee. Doug and his brothers went to high school with James in Spain, and haven't seen him in a few years. It was so great, they are supper nice and very fun to hang out with. I wish they lived closer!!! This was in side the Conference Center, that place is so beautiful, and I'm so amazed at how up with technology they are, but they just don't flaunt it. This was designed to look like a snowflake falling and then melting below. These were the view from the top of the Church Administration Building! It was so beautiful! Doug has been into taking artistic pictures and these he did in the Conference Center looking out! They are really good! All the paintings in there are originals. The on above is 32 feet long! It was really pretty. This is inside, the organ has 7 thousand pipes, the one in the Tabernacle has 11 thousand! Know wonder it sounds so good!! These are the bust of all the Prophets! This statue was of the First Vision and you can turn it. On the back side Heavenly Father has a foot sticking out, to show that He is a person of Flesh and Bone. Paintings of the First Presidency. Paintings of the Apostles.
We were trying to get a picture of us with the Temple in the background, didn't work so well! We wanted a picture of the guys together, so Doug said, "GQ it", David said "Help". We laughed pretty hard!
The Temple was so beautiful at night! This was Sunday we were giving grandpa a break so we went for a drive and it was so beautiful. This is up in Provo Canyon!! We had a lot of fun! Thanks Dee and James for showing us around!! We wish we could have stayed longer!!
