Zoo Day!

Today we went to the zoo with Doug's parents, Brennan, and Melissa and her girls!! It was the perfect day! Sunny but not hot and a cool breeze! It was really fun! The kids had a blast being with each other and seeing all the animals! Beware there are a TON of pictures!!
Coen and I looking orangutan's!
Feeding the fish!
Brennan!
Looking at the giraffes, those are my favorite!!
"Emma's Elephants"!
Big ol rhino!
Lions!
Feeding the birds! Apparently while Melissa and I were feeding the babies the rest of them were in the "bird" area. Well I guess a BIG ol eagle flew down and landed right next to Coen. Doug said it scared him to death! He said it was his favorite part of the whole day!
The four older kids! We sure missed Connor!
Flamingo's, and boy did they smell bad!!

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day a day late!! We had a really good day yesterday! Doug got up early and planted all my flowers in the front yard, its looking good! Then our besties and my in laws came over for homemade hamburgers and fresh fruit!! Yummy!! Then we went to a free concert out at White Rock Lake. The Dallas Symphony performed for a little over an hour and then there were fireworks! The fireworks were amazing too! Better than most 4th of July ones. Its funny how things change as you get older. I never really payed attention or really cared about Memorial Day or any other holidays for that matter until I met Doug and then married him. He is very patriotic and so is his family! I have come to better appreciate those who serve and have served our Country. I'm very thankful for the sacrifice that Doug's dad, Bob, made for us and for our Country. I'm thankful and in awe of Cindy and the boys for their sacrifice. I cant even imagine having to go months and years without my spouse as so many do. So thank you a big THANK YOU to Bob and to all those who have served or are currently serving our Country!!
Brennan came with Papa to visit for a week or so and the kids are really enjoying it! They had a lot of fun last night together!!
Daddy and Lyla!
The symphony!
Stay tuned I am so far behind, I have a million pictures to post!!

Congratulations!!!!

I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to my hubby!! He did so good this semester in school. Considering the crazy, stressful, out of control semester we have had, he did really well. And now he can speak Chinese, pretty impressive!! Hopefully the next on is even better! As long as I stay sane, he shouldn't have to worry about me anymore!! ha ha!! Good job baby! I love you!! Maybe we will have a party!!!
This is the most recent picture of Doug, I know not the best, but still cute!!

Been A While

Hi! Well its been a while since I posted! Sorry, things have been so busy! First and update on me! Ive have a bunch ask how I'm doing! Thanks for that by the way! I'm doing really well, have been for a few days now. I'm really glad I didn't go get meds, Ive been really successful doing this on my own! If I feel the craziness starting I just try and refocus my thoughts and try to do something different and its been working. I luckily haven't felt crazy for a couple of days! Yay! I think I'm going to delete that blog I started, I don't even have time for this one, much less another! So ill just update me on here! Sorry for those who don't care! So yes, thank you all for your support and concern. My dad and Terri have called me almost every day checking on me. I have had lots of help from my mom and sister and mother in law. So thank you so much!! And most of all from my wonderful husband, I really would not have made it without him! Now enough about me!
These pictures are a bit old, but I never got around to posting them so here they are! Bluebonnets are my favorite, and we had a really hard time doing pictures on our own. So these are the best of the bunch!
Coen has started this funny face thing. Every picture I take of him, he has to make a different face! Hes so funny!
The kids! Lyla is getting so big! She has been talking and smiling so much for a couple of weeks now. I have yet to get a smiling picture though. She is so much fun! We just love her!

Confessions Continued......

Thank you, thank you to all of you who have commented on my last post! It really has helped! I started a separate blog just for people to leave comments and for me to update how I'm feeling and all. Feel free to comment about yourself if you are going through this also! I know some of you are getting ready to have babies and if you need this same support join in! It really has helped a lot. I have decided not to take meds. Doug did some research for me and it can really be handled or even make it go away without the drugs. So this is what I'm going to do. I just need people to talk to and to hear from. So stay tuned for my first post on http://ppartum.blogspot.com/ !
Thank you again, you really have no idea how much all this has helped!!
PS. Who commented the last comment??? You didn't leave your name!! I would really like to know! Thank you!!!

Cutness and Confessions

These were taken a couple of weeks ago! I'm a little behind on the blogging! Aren't they so cute! I hope these two grow up to be so close and such good friends! Lyla is only 12 days older than her cousin Kamryn! They are both so sweet and so cute! We love you Kamryn. and wish we saw more of you, and your sweet sister!!!
On another note: I need some help/advice. I'm suffering from post-partum depression and anxiety. I hate to even admit that, but I am, and its been exceptionally bad this past week. I was going to get some meds from my doc, but am really not wanting to go that route. So I'm asking all of you out there if you have suffered or know someone who has, if there is another way to treat it or suppress it, rather than meds. I'm really extremely grateful to my husband for all of his support, he has been amazing through all of this. I hope I never complain about him again, cause he is truly amazing. Its been a really hard week and I'm so grateful for him. Also grateful for my wonderful in laws, they have been such a great help these last few days also. I/we couldn't have made it without their help! Anyway, please send me some advise, I beg of you!!!
