Sadness!

My mom emailed me this morning, our friend Adam West passed away this morning from CANCER!!! I HATE hearing that word! He is so young, and has a young beautiful family! I feel so sad for his beautiful wife Susie and their 3 little girls. My thoughts and prayers are with them! Even though there is all this sadness, I do know that their family will be together again! I know they know that, and I'm sure that has given Susie much comfort. I'm glad he is no longer in pain, and I know that our Heavenly Father is taking good care of him!

Birthday Party Fun

Emma and Clara had their birthday party on Friday!! It was lots of fun, but I'm glad its over! Too much work having a party!! Oh well!! It was fun, they had presents, which Emma was not very interested in, and Melissa got a pinata, that was fun!! Then we had cake!! My mom and I did the cake, well mostly my mom but I told her how I wanted it!! I thought it turned out cute!! So all in all it was a fun successful party!!! Thanks Melissa for everything you did!! Thanks to everyone who came and for the presents also!!!

Doug said she's a typical girl, gets the cute high heal shoes and then carries them!!!

The Deadly Game

The Evening started as it usually did when our very best friends in the whole world graced us with their presence. We had a yummy pork roast with carrots and potatoes...which of course I made and it was amazing! Then we started the deadly game of RISK.

Doug and Jeremy were getting pretty serious in the final round of this game. I thought for sure we had to get the hose out. Doug-fist in hand-was ready to spring. Jeremy was ready though too, you could see it in his eyes, he was always ready. Adelia was the one who noticed first. Emma was very distracted by her treats in front of her and snagging a few extra while Adelia was looking away. Then she heard it, how could you not. Her Daddy needed help and she bounded from her chair to step into the action. All I could do was watch, devastated that the game was over. Risk always ends badly.

Baby # Three!!!

Well thanks for all the thoughts and comments!! I didn't get twins though!! She even checked twice for me! Oh well, we have ONE healthy baby. They are estimating my due date on March 27, 2009!! Yay!! So the baby looks good and we are happy!! Doug says he thinks I dodged a pretty big bullet!! Probably, but I'm still just a little disappointed! Oh well! So there it is, now we can take a poll on whether its a girl or a boy!! Let me know what you think!!!

Wanna Hear a Funny Story!

Some of you might know and some of you might not know, but we are expecting another baby!! I'm due sometime around March 20th. We are pretty excited. I'm 9 weeks now and I just got back from my first doctors appointment. Well He put the little doppler thing on my belly to hear the heart beat. He found it and said "oh I hear two, that must be yours and the baby's". I haven't ever heard them say they can hear the mothers heart beat also. So I said "are you sure, cause I prayed for twins". The doc just slumped over and said "no, but are you crazy"! I said well I just figured that if I had two I might not have to have anymore! He said "good theory". So who knows, I go get my first sonogram next Wednesday and we will find out if in fact it was my heart beat and the babies, or if there was more than one!!

But so far they said everything looks good, so we will know more after the sono next week, my official due date and all that good stuff!! So we will keep you posted!!

Pool Fun!

The kids have been having fun playing in their "froggy pool". Its been too hot lately to get in it, so they have been waiting patiently! Hopefully soon it will get out of the 100's plus and they can go outside again!

Story Time!

Okay so I have a funny story to tell about my Sweet Little Emma!

Yesterday the kids were getting their baths so we could get ready for church. I was eating my breakfast and Doug came in and said "your daughter needs to have a talk with you". Oh boy I say and off I go to the bathroom. I find her standing by the toilet saying she needs to go "potty". Okay well sit on the toilet I say, "no" says Emma. So she proceeds to stand in front of the toilet and tries to pull out her Belly Button to pee like Coen does. I kept trying to tell her, you don't do it that way, you sit down on the toilet, "no", she keeps insisting that she stand up. It was so funny I couldn't argue for long. How cute is she! She has to do everything Coen does. I just love them both. They have such sweet spirits!! Coen actually asked to say the prayer yesterday for the first time in like a year at least. He never even wants to fold his arms. I was beginning to worry, but sure enough he did it! I'm so happy!
