Christmas Eve

We had a very fun Christmas Eve with my family! We do the Eve with my mom and siblings! This year we ate sandwiches and opened jammies for the kids and played a really fun game! This was what it looked like driving to my moms.

The kids love playing like they can fly! All the time at my moms they are taking a blanket to her and asking her to tie it around their neck, but it never stays! So she made them capes for Christmas! They loved it!!

Look at all that snow!! We had a great white Christmas! The kids loved it! This is what our front yard looked like when we got home! Yay!

Our Tree

As most of you know its our tradition to drive to east Texas and cut down our Christmas tree! We did do that this year just not on the day we usually do! It was so much fun! I love seeing the kids faces and they are searching for the perfect tree! They just love it! We always have such a good day together as a family! This year we were by ourselves so we didn't get a family picture with the tree. Oh well! The kids had fun riding in the wagon while we looked! This was Lyla's fist year and I think she really had fun!! So here are a ton of pictures!!! Enjoy!!

Abby's Quilt

I'm pretty proud of this quilt!! Thanks so much A for talking me through it!! You rock!! Anyway, I made this for little Abby! Marlee is having her baby in February and I figured she needed and adorable handmade blanket she can love forever!! Ha! Anyway, I thought it would be really hard, but it wasn't at all! I hope Abby likes it as much as I did!! Cant wait to meet you Abby!! We love you so much already!!

All Lyla

Wow, were did the year go? I cant believe Lyla will be 9 months old on Friday! Crazy!! She is getting so big! She is crawling all over the place! Sunday I was getting ready for church and I sat her with some toys in the living room close to the door way coming into the dining room. I walked into the kitchen just for a minute came back and she was gone! Its so strange still finding her in a different place! I love it though, she wont need me to carry her around all the time now! She also just got her 2nd tooth the end of this last week! She is getting so big! And she is the cutest little thing ever! I mean just look at her!! We love you so much Lyla and are so glad you are part of our family!!

Snow

Last week Coen had been asking me why it doesn't snow here in Texas. We were talking about it, and he asked if it would ever snow. So I told him he could pray to Heavenly Father and ask him if he would let it snow here. Coen said okay! So he prayed for it for a couple of days, and what do you know! We got snow!!! I got up around 7 am one day, and looked outside and there it was. So I figured I better wake him up and let him see it! At first when I told him, he jumped up and looked out the window, then I went and was sitting on the couch a few minutes later and I looked down the hall to see this....

He was so excited he couldn't stand it! Then he came out and was sitting at the window watching, so I told him to take his pillow and blanket and lay by the back door. He did and when it stopped he came and told me and then went back to bed!! It was so cute!!

Halloween

I know how late can I get? Well this was our super fun Halloween! We had so much fun with our besties! These pictures are a bit out of order. So go to the last one and then follow the story up!! ha!

And Halloween night! The ward had a carnival and this is us! Doug and I are the Ghost Busters and the kids, yep, ghosts!! ha!! Too cute!

I don't guess I got a picture of A and J! Dang! It was so much fun! Thanks guys for being such amazing friends! Ive been a little sad this last week cause its getting closer to us probably not living by each other any more. That totally sucks! I just don't know what I'm going to do without A! You have been an amazing friend! Love you!!

Then we played the fun donut game! They loved that too! Coen could hardly wait for his turn, it was pretty cute!!

The night before Halloween we went to our besties house and painted pumpkins! The kids loved it!

Eternity

Back in October we had the wonderful chance to go see a good friend of ours be sealed to his wife and son for All Eternity in the Houston Temple! Doug and I were sealed there a little over 6 years ago! It was the first time we have been back since then, and I felt the spirit so strongly! Its such a wonderful blessing we have as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be sealed for Eternity to our families!I'm so thankful for my little family and blessings we enjoy. I'm so extremely happy for my friend too!

It was such a sunny morning! We wanted a family picture, but no one could see, so this is what we got!

My sweet sister Beth came to stay with the kids while we were in the Temple! Thanks Bethy! After we wanted to do something fun for the kids. A friend of mine told me about this park there with a train! So after tons of traffic and fighting our way to this huge park, we got to ride this fun little train! The kids thought it was so fun! I thought it was a pretty fun day!
