Happy Birthday Doug!!

I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my wonderful Husband! He probably wont even read this, but just in case! Happy Birthday Doug! Thank you for all the wonderful things you are and do! I really really appreciate you, especially these last few months. The end of the pregnancy was getting hard and then having this little baby, you have been more than I could ask for! Thank you for being so patient with me and the kids. You are the best father and husband. I hope you had a good day, even though you had to work, and I hope you have a good year to come! 30 is just around the corner now!!! Cant wait! Anyway, I love you so much, I hope I can continue to make you happy!! Happy Birthday!!

Lyla's Blessing Day

Part of our long weekend was having Lyla blessed at church. My dad and his family were able to be in town that weekend, so we went ahead and blessed her at 4 days old! Crazy I know, but it was good! I was a little stressed and things were so crazy that I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked to, but it was still a really fun day. Doug blessed Lyla at church on Sunday March 22, I couldn't even hear it so when Doug sat down I had to ask him what he said. Lyla looked so cute, even though everything drowns her. After sacrament meeting all the family came back to my house for a brunch! It was so yummy! Thanks to everyone who made something!

Later that afternoon all the kids were at my house, except Beau, and it was such a nice day, so we went over to the park. The McQuivey's were here too, but we consider them family!! It was such a fun day! Thanks to everyone for coming for this special occasion!

More Hospital Pics

Well things have been a little crazy since we got home from the hospital with little Lyla! Emma has been really sick, she got some kind of bug, lots of throwing up, but its getting better. First, Lyla lost a bunch of weight so we had to take her to the doctor on sat morning for a weight check, and she was just slightly jaundice so they wanted to check both. She was down from 7 4 to 6 9, so they were a little concerned. So they had me supplement, which I hate doing, till Monday and we had to take her back for another check. She had gained 2 ounces so they felt better about it. Her billy ruben was just sightly up, so they weren't really worried about it. So she is good. She has started eating a lot better the last day or so, and sleeping really well at night, last night she slept 6 hours!! Yay!!

Emma and Coen are just crazy about Lyla, they cant stay away! Its been really hard since Emma has been sick, to keep her away, but she is doing okay with it.

Just home from the hospital!

Lyla has been such a joy in our home thus far. I still kinda cant believe we have another baby! She is so good, she is quiet and very soft, even when she cries! We just love her!!

Introducing.....

Lyla Isabel !!

We have had a really hard time with the name, but just both really feel like this is who she is! What do you think? Well it was a really long hard day, but so worth it. I had to be at the hospital at 5 am this morning, and it was kind of a slow start! My body just wasn't wanting to progress. They started the pitocin around 530 or 6 and by 1 or so I was still at 2 cm. It was crazy! So I gave in and got an epidural, it was too painful and taking too long. So anyway, I finally started to progress and Lyla was born at 3:58 pm. So it was really long! She was 7 lbs 4 oz, I was so surprised she was so small, the smallest yet! And she was 19 1/4 inch long! Tiny Tiny!! She had the sweetest softest cry you would ever hear. That's part of the reason we decided on the name, Doug actually said she looked and sounded more like a Lyla before I did!! Yay! Anyway, she is gorgeous and actually had hair too. We are both doing okay, we just sent her to the nursery so we can sleep!

The kids were so excited, they could not get enough of her! They just kept touching her and rubbing her! Emma kept saying "baby loves me"! Yes she does!! They were so cute with her! I loved watching it!

Baby Update!

Well its Monday and there is still no baby!! Ive done everything I can think of, short of castor oil, and nothing is making her come! I guess she is going to be just as stubborn as the other kids! So its looking like we are waiting till Wednesday!! That's okay, its only 2 days!! So That's about it! The kids are super excited and cant wait! Coen keeps saying can you have the baby now! I wish!! So stay tuned on Wednesday for pictures and details!!

Baby Update!

This post is mostly for Lacy, thanks for asking, so to you and the rest of you out there, here is whats going on! I went to the doctor today and was pleasantly surprised when he said I was 2 cm and 40% effaced!!! Yay!! He stripped my membrane, which I have never had before, so that wasn't fun! He said Its possible for me to go into labor, but not likely! That's what they said after doing a procedure with Coen and I went into labor that day with him. So we shall see! I'm not going to get my hopes up, though I am already having SOME contractions!! Anyway, I'm scheduled for next Wednesday at 5 am to be induced!! So she will be here soon! Still no name, I guess there wont be one till she is here and we see her! But that's okay! So I'm totally ready, my hips and pelvic bones have been hurting so badly I can barely walk! So the sooner the better!! Anyway, so stay tuned, there will be tons of pictures when she comes!! Hope the rest of you are all doing okay!! Lacy, you are just moving along, I cant believe how far you are already!! Hope all is well!! By the way, the kids are so stinking excited!! This has been so fun, and I'm sure it will continue to be! I cant wait to see them with her!!

One More!

This is what I made this morning! I know you are probably thinking, what the heck is it!? Well its one of those little blanket things with the ribbon on the ends to let the baby learn textures and things!! I didn't want it to be your everyday square or rectangle, so I just pieced it together! Too cute I know!! I love it!!

Creations!

Here are my latest creations for the baby!! I was saying to Amy today how much I wished I was a sewer when I had my other two kids! It would have been fun to make cute things for them, instead of all store bought! Oh well!! Its been really fun!!

I'm so loving polka dots right now, so this one is brown and white! (if you cant tell)

And a blue one, so cute!! It has a burp rag, I'm planning on making a brown one too, maybe tomorrow!

And I made matching skirts for the girls!! This was my first time to do this and it was really hard, but a lot of fun!! They are reversible!!! the other side is the hot pink with the checked trim!! So fun!! This was a curton that Melissa made for Clara's old room, and now Tada!!! You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find matching dresses or skirts for girls my girl's age! Its impossible! So I need to find shirts and they are set for Easter!! Yay!!

Oh and by the way 2 weeks from tomorrow!!!
